Players will be given preference in government jobs, the playgrounds will be kept safe, state-level marathon held on January 12 in Jagdalpur - Sports and Youth Welfare Minister, Ms. Lata Usendi said that players in Chhattisgarh will be given priority in government jobs according to their eligibility. She said that every possible effort will be made for proper development of sports and players and the state government will provide all types of facilities.

Ms Usendi said better efforts will be made by Chhattisgarh government for promoting sports in the state, to create interest for sports in people and physical capacity. He said that provision of adequate budget will be for sports. Playgrounds will be saved for sports and sustained efforts will be made on far reaching plans for sports.

A state level Chhattisgarh marathon, was held on January 12 at Bastar district headquarters Jagdalpur. Total 720 male and female runners from all the districts of state participated in of the Chhattisgarh state marathon and cash awards distributed to them.

खेल एवं युवा कल्याण मंत्री सुश्री लता उसेण्डी ने कहा है कि राज्य के खिलाड़ियों को उनकी पात्रता के अनुसार शासकीय नौकरी में वरीयता दी जाएगी। उन्होंने खेलों और खिलाड़ियों के समुचित विकास के लिए हर संभव प्रयास करने तथा राज्य शासन द्वारा खिलाड़ियों को सभी प्रकार की सुविधाएं मुहैया कराने की बात कही है।

सुश्री उसेण्डी ने कहा कि प्रदेश में खेलों को बढ़ावा देने, लोगों में खेलों के प्रति रूझान पैदा करने तथा शारीरिक सौष्ठव के लिए राज्य शासन द्वारा बेहतर प्रयास किए जाएंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि खेलों के लिए पर्याप्त बजट का प्रावधान रखा जाएगा। खेल के मैदानों को सुरक्षित रखा जाएगा तथा खेलों के लिए दूरगामी योजना पर निरंतर प्रयास किए जाएंगे।

सुश्री उसेण्डी ने कहा कि खेल एवं युवा कल्याण विभाग द्वारा राज्य स्तरीय मैराथन का आयोजन 12 जनवरी को बस्तर के जिला मुख्यालय जगदलपुर में किया गया। राज्य मैराथन में सभी जिलों के 720 पुरूष एवं महिला धावकों ने हिस्सा लिया, उनको नगद पुरस्कार भी वितरित किए गये।
